[HeavyMetalHeaven] Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Ramones, Top 40 solo albums, Paul Dianno, Beholder, Yngwie Malmsteen, Megadeth and tons more

According to List.co.uk, OZZY OSBOURNE says he is ''a born worrier'' and gets concerned if he can't find anything to occupy his mind.

He said: "I'm a born worrier. Fear is my best friend and worst enemy. I worry if I have nothing to worry about. I don't understand the way my girls work. Jack's cool and Louis is OK."

Although the 61-year-old star can't halt his concerns, he believes there are "greater powers" looking after him, but he does not attribute this to religion.

He explained: "I believe in a power greater than myself - I believe in nature more than God. When I got help for my addictions I didn't believe in God sat up there like Santa Claus on a cloud. I went with nature."

The singer - who along with Sharon and children Kelly and Jack starred in their own reality TV series The Osbournes - has more time to indulge in his worries now after revealing he refuses to do any more work on television.

He told Britain's Metro newspaper: "My job is great so how can I retire from a job like this? I tell you what I don't want to do anymore - TV work. I hate it. They stab you with a smile on their face and then ask you for the knife back."

AC/DC was recently forced to postpone the first six shows of the next leg of its "Black Ice" world tour, which was scheduled to begin on Thursday (October 1) in Phoenix, Arizona. The gigs were postponed because singer Brian Johnson is recovering from a medical procedure and was advised by his doctor to get some additional rest. Five more concerts, in Las Vegas, Louisville, Kansas City, Des Moines and Milwaukee, were also postponed and will be rescheduled. The trek will now resume on October 16 in Washington, D.C.

Commented Johnson: "It's an inside job that forced me to reschedule those upcoming six shows! Inside being the operative word here. My insides were giving me lots of trouble, ulcers and such. They were really uncomfortable and painful, which required me to seek immediate medical attention.

"The doctor's looked me over, poked, scanned and prodded all possible areas. In the end, they gave me a clean bill of health, but insisted that I take a bit of time to recuperate and rest up.

"We've been touring non-stop since this time last year and have a lot more touring to do.

"Thanks for all of the get-well wishes and I hope to see you all again very soon."

AC/DC has been on the road in support of "Black Ice", its first studio album in eight years. The album has sold more than two million copies in the U.S. since its release as a Wal-Mart exclusive.

The band is still scheduled to hit South America later this year and arrive in Australia and New Zealand in early 2010.

AC/DC will release a limited-edition box set called "Backtracks" on November 10. The set, which comes in two versions, will be available on November 10 only through the ACDCBacktracks.com web site. As previously speculated, the "deluxe" package is housed inside a fully operational AC/DC amplifier and will come in a limited, autographed run of 50,000 copies. Included in the set are three CDs of live and studio rarities, two DVDs, a vinyl LP also containing studio rarities, a 164-page coffee table book, fine art lithographs of rare photos, a reproduction of an early AC/DC concert flyer and other memorabilia, including a button, guitar pick, and more.

A standard edition will feature two CDs of live and studio material, a single DVD plus bonus videos.

The first DVD is the long awaited video compilation "Family Jewels 3", which rounds up the group's music videos, live performances, and promotional clips from 1992 to 2009. The second DVD, "Live At The Circus Krone", captures a complete club show that the band played in Munich in 2003.

Details on pre-ordering the set are available at the web site, along with the full track listing.

Among the studio rarities included in the set are alternate versions of a number of early AC/DC tracks, as well as the never-before-released "Love Song", possibly the only ballad the band ever wrote with original singer Bon Scott.

FOHonline.com reports that Gordon "Gungi" Paterson, a highly respected and well-liked FOH (front-of-house) engineer for such acts as JUDAS PRIEST , DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW, died Monday, September 28 after a three-year battle with lymphoma. As per his wishes, there will be no memorial service in Seattle, where Gungi, his wife Bridget, and their children made their home.

Commented METALLICA 's longtime soundman "Big" Mick Hughes: "I met Gungi many years ago, and I had always fondly thought of him as an originator of mixing techniques, some of which I still employ today. The world of live sound was a little in the dark ages in those days and Gungi was a founding member in the fight to make it what we enjoy today. Total respect. God bless, my old friend. Rest in peace."

Legendary guitarist Steve Vai said: "I first met Gungi on the DAVID LEE ROTH 'Eat 'Em and Smile' tour. He was our front of house mixer. Gungi was Scottish and a giant of a man at over seven feet tall with an even larger heart. I had the honor of working with him on my 'Fire Garden' tour where he tour managed and did front of house sound.

"Gungi was one of those people who was always smiling and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was honest, professional and had a great sense of humor and joy about him. You could not help but feel uplifted being around him."

BraveWords.com has received the following press release:

On October 20th, Eagle Rock Entertainment, through its wholly-owned Eagle Vision subsidiary, will release ZZ TOP's Double Down Live, the first historic concert performance ever to be approved for release by the band. Clocking in at just under two hours, this double dose disc delivers twenty-eight years of hard rock, blues, and boogie – ZZ Top style !

Disc One, filmed in 1980, is dubbed Definitely Then, and is packed with 22 early ZZ Top classics from their Tres Hombres and Fandango! albums, including: 'La Grange', 'Tush', 'Cheap Sunglasses', 'Tube Snake Boogie', and more, many of which remain in their live set to this day. This concert was captured at the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany for the Rockpalast TV series. The concert took place hot on the heels of the release, 30 years ago, of their classic Deguello album (it features 9 of the 10 songs from it). The show found ZZ Top in the era prior to the band's discovery of sequencers and synthesizers and epitomized the down 'n' dirty take no prisoners attitude of "that lil' ol' band from Texas" nickname. To this day, this disc is a true best of ZZ Top in the seventies.

Disc Two, subtitled Almost Now, was shot during their European tour in 2008, includes 11 performances, interview clips, and backstage footage to create the ultimate ZZ Top on the road movie.

One of the most instantly recognizable sounds in rock music, ZZ Top's signature brand of boogie 'n' blues has earned them massive success, including an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since their 1969 inception in Houston, Texas, the trio of singer/guitarist/frontman Billy F Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill, and drummer Frank Beard has spent almost 40 years delivering Southern-fried sizzle without a personnel change.

With nearly 30 years between the performances, Double Down Live gives a fascinating insight into what has maintained the ZZ Top live phenomenon. This release follows the huge success of the Live From Texas Eagle releases of last year on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray. The DVD spent over a year on the charts, with 3 weeks at the #1 position.

Steven Zeitchik and Matthew Belloni from The Hollywood Reporter have issued the following:

Fox Searchlight wants to be sedated.

The specialty division is in negotiations to board a project about the life of the RAMONES, based on the upcoming memoir I Slept With Joey Ramone, by the musician's brother, and featuring the band's tunes.

The project, which initially had been conceived independently under manager-producer Rory Rosegarten, would get a significant boost with the involvement of the 20th Century Fox unit.

Written by Joey Ramone's brother Mickey Leigh and longtime punk writer and Ramones chronicler Legs McNeil, it centers on the life of Joey Ramone, aka Jeffrey Hyman, the lead singer of the seminal punk act. The memoir is scheduled to be published by Simon & Schuster imprint Fireside in December.

Rosegarten is a former executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond who negotiated several years ago to buy the rights to the book as it was being written and, most critical, the rights to the music. The studio negotiation process has been a complicated one because of the multiple rights involved. The deal with Fox Searchlight is not closed, caution people close to the situation.

Di'Anno's autobiography called The Beast : Singing With Iron Maiden - The Drugs, The Groupies... The Whole Story will be released on paperback by John Blake Publishing Ltd on February 1st, 2010.

A description reads as follows: "Paul Di'anno is one of rock's wildest figures. Now he reveals the shocking stories of his life on the road, including the moment he kicked out his own guitarist's teeth, chasing journalists from venues, shooting out car tyres with a rifle and the truth about his arrest for carrying a sub-machine gun. His tale is one of drugs, guns, alcohol; of extended periods banged up in prison and his time fronting the mighty Iron Maiden . His controversial antics off-stage are even more shocking than his existence under the spotlights. He has battled drug addicitions and tumbled from the heights of fame to the pit of bankruptcy. This is a look into the dark and disturbing times of a man who had spent his whole life courting his demons."

BEHOLDER, the band led by Simon Hall, former lead singer of NWOBHM legends HANDSOME BEASTS, will release its new album, "The Awakening", on December 1. With over 70 minutes of "full-on sonic offerings and melodic sensibilities, this album has already been hailed as a welcome return to the true spirit of British heavy metal," according to a press release.

On October 26, the title track of the forthcoming album will be released on download format with an additional live bonus cut, "Never Take Us Down", taken from the band's stunning performance at this year's Bloodstock Open Air festival.

The artwork for "The Awakening" is said to be "an existing piece of mastery" by Paul Raymond Gregory. Paul is renowned for his metal album covers, including releases from SAXON ("Crusader", "Rock The Nations", "Unleash The Beast", "Metal Head", "Heavy Metal Thunder", "Lionheart", "Into The Labyrinth"), DIO ("Angry Machines"), MOLLY HATCHET ("Silent Reign Of Heroes", "Locked & Loaded", "Kingdom of XII", "Warriors of Rainbow Bridge"), FREEDOM CALL, BLIND GUARDIAN and COMPANY OF SNAKES.

BEHOLDER frontman Simon Hall is featured in the upcoming feature-length film "Dude, Where's My Music?", which has been described as "'Slumdog Millionaire' meets 'Anvil! The Story Of Anvil' or 'Wayne's World' meets Michael Moore's 'Bowling for Columbine'. It is a movie drenched in humor but with a particularly serious message. It questions why, despite millions of passionate and loyal fans, music is deemed an afterthought by many industry professionals and asks why mainstream music is now so tepid." Other musicians interviewed for the film include members of ANVIL, LACUNA COIL, EXODUS, TESTAMENT, GOD FORBID, DREAM THEATER, KORN, DRAGONFORCE and VENOM.

Keith Carman of Canada's Exclaim! magazine recently conducted an interview with MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

Exclaim!: So here you are with album number 12 set to go and people chomping at the bit to hear it. How does the process of making a MEGADETH album change after so many years?

Dave Mustaine: It was getting easier. Then it started to get really harder. Now it's on autopilot because now I'm doing what I want, not what I think the music industry wants. There was a period where we had to do what the music industry told us to do or we were not going to eat. It had to do with record sales going down and our popularity being affected because radio station after radio station was changing. At one point, Los Angeles had two hours of metal playing in the whole week. Two hours? Are you kidding?

Exclaim!: That seems strange because so many people look to L.A. for instruction as to what's current.

Dave Mustaine: People look to Hollywood but not as much to L.A. L.A. proper is a melting pot of people. Most people think of L.A. and record industry people as being tanned and wearing gold chains, playing tennis and shit. They're not thinking about the people in the trenches living the lifestyle of the music they love.

Exclaim!: I never knew you were under such pressure at one point. It always seemed as if you've only ever done what you wanted.

Dave Mustaine: No, no way. That would've been real easy but in 1992 when "Countdown..." came out, the label was so enchanted with it, they wanted us to do it again. I was like, "What do you mean, 'Do it again?'" If I could just "do it again," I would. I can try but the reason you either do it again or don't is because it's difficult to make a great record. I could sit there and put out mediocre songs but I don't wanna do that. I wanna write great songs. I wanna make sure they're all thought out; there's no filler. So far with "Endgame", all of the reviews we've gotten have been stellar, all of the interviewers have been very excited for me. It's such a great feeling to know that people are happy for me. There was a period where I felt like a stepchild; I'd never be able to shake that feeling but it's gone now.

Exclaim!: It must be rewarding to know people are finally on side; not attacking you constantly.

Dave Mustaine: I don't know if they've been attacking me forever. We've just had a rough go of things. Some of the stuff I brought on myself, some of the stuff was imaginary, some of it wasn't real at all and it's kind of a bummer when you're working with people and they don't believe you.

Exclaim!: Well, you nailed it with this record. How much of that comes from having your own recording studio now? Does that offer more freedom of time and resources?

Dave Mustaine: I'm not sure. I think a lot of it comes from that the band is really getting along right now. The chemistry is really working.

Exclaim!: Is that something you feel could last infinitely or is there potential for that to be sort of transient: sometimes the relationship is great, sometimes not?

Dave Mustaine: The chemistry started working when Shawn [Drover, drummer] joined the band. Glen [Drover, guitarist] was a temporary member that did us a real solid. He brought in Shawn and he recommended Chris [Broderick, guitarist]. Where he was 25 years ago when I started the band, I don't know. Ah, he would've been about ten back then.

Exclaim!: I recall you being proud that when you had the Drover brothers in the band, MEGADETH was half-Canadian.

Dave Mustaine: This'll blow your mind then: I was talking to my sister and she emailed me because she was doing genealogy on my dad's side and they lived in Canada for a while. I told Shawn and he goes, "See, I knew you were cool for a reason, eh?" It was funny but for me, telling the story the 300th time, it's not as funny. But others enjoy it. I knew my dad was French-Irish and I guess he came in through the French part of Canada. It's interesting to know because if I ever kicked out of America, I'm moving north.

Stop Smiling magazine recently conducted an interview with original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley . An excerpt from the chat follows below.

Stop Smiling: The original members of KISS reunited in 1996 after 17 years. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and yourself. What are memories of the reunion tour?

Ace Frehley: It started off great. It was really strange because we wearing our old costumes, and it wasn't that different from tours from the past. I remember a couple of times doing shows feeling like I'd really gone back in time. It was bizarre. But as the tour progressed, things got weird, people started saying the same old things, pushing people's buttons, and it wasn't fun anymore. It was like the early '80s all over again.

Stop Smiling: What, specifically, were people saying?

Ace Frehley: I don't want to get into specifics. People started doing a lot of the same things that they were doing around my first departure [in 1982]. Making decisions without me. Originally it was put together in the spirit of we were all gonna kind of do this together, and the next thing I know, I'm feeling like a hired gun and I don't have any say in anything. And that's not fun. The four of us invented KISS and brought it to the world. It just wasn't fun anymore.

Stop Smiling: After 17 years you were reunited. Was it all business or did you ever have moments were you hung out with the other guys in the band just as friends?

Ace Frehley: It wasn't like the old days. Pretty much everyone went their own way.

Stop Smiling: You and Peter didn't share your old bond?

Ace Frehley: Not like we used to. I wasn't really allowed to drink on that tour. It was a business. It was a machine. After we got into the day-to-day business of it, it made me remember why I quit the group in the first place [Laughs].

Stop Smiling: On one of the "Kissology" DVDs that came out a few years ago, they talk about a Southern California concert that you almost pulled a no show. What happened?

Ace Frehley: That was crazy. I was in New York and I had to fly in for the show and I'd missed a flight and I was having some family problems and my daughter ended up flying out with me. I think we had missed the second flight even. We were gonna land about an hour before the show. I know Tommy [Thayer, KISS's road manager at the time and current KISS guitarist] was already in make-up. They had a chopper waiting for me when I landed that took me to Irvine Meadows. I put the make-up on in a half-hour and did the show. [Laughs]. I feel bad because I gave a lot of people some tense moments. And that wasn't the only time. I feel bad about it, but I wasn't all there.

Stop Smiling: When did KISS go from being this glitter-punk New York street band to a business?

Ace Frehley: It wasn't one day, it's just the way things started getting more about merchandising and became more about marketing than the music. I got involved in rock and roll because I loved it. And it was fun. And for a time, I said, "I'm the luckiest fuckin' guy in the world. I'm doin' something I love to do and I'm getting paid a lot of money for it." And I was gettin' to see the whole world and it was great. And then all of a sudden when you start reading contracts and fine print and you realize that people are deceiving you about this and that and your lawyer tells you it's a lot more money than you thought, and it starts not being fun anymore. You think that everyone is doing it in the spirit that you think they are doing it, and then you find out there are ulterior motives.

Stop Smiling: Who are you speaking about?

Ace Frehley: I don't want to mention names. It was people who were handling us. We had to sue our record company. We had to sue our business managers. And then the IRS takes a crack at you. It wasn't fun anymore and it's all because of being mismanagement and people trying to take this and that they shouldn't be taking.

U.K. artist Sam Shearon has contributed work to Rob Zombie's forthcoming fourth solo album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool". Other artists involved with the project are Nocturnals comic book creator Dan Brereton, animation and storyboard artist David Hartman and Italian artist Alex Horley, who has worked for Image Comics and DC Comics.

Check out the "Hellbilly Deluxe 2" art below.

Rob Zombie has selected the song "What?" as the first single from "Hellbilly Deluxe 2". The track heads to rock radio this week. Meanwhile, Zombie hinted in an online post that his new CD — which is due on November 17 via Geffen — could be his last, saying, "Well, pretty soon the CD will be dead. All you will have left is digital downloads. So before we say goodbye to the almighty CD, I thought I would give it a big send-off. I love being able to get great artists involved on my CD artwork and this time is the best yet. Since this may be the last true CD I make, I thought I would gather [some] of the top artists around to contribute some killer new Zombie art for the booklet."

"Hellbilly Deluxe 2" track listing:

01. Jesus Frankenstein
02. Sick Bubble-Gun
03. What?
04. Mars Needs Women
05. Werewolf, Baby
06. Virgin Witch
07. Dream Factory
08. Burn
09. Cease to Exist
10. Werewolf Women of the SS
11. The Man Who Laughs

Rob Zombie will kick off his upcoming North American tour on October 29 in Phoenix, Arizona, according to a press release. he will hit the road with the same band that toured behind his 2006 CD, "Educated Horses", consisting of guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D. and drummer Tommy Clufetos. Although Zombie is also busy these days directing movies, he told The Pulse of Radio he can always count on his current bandmates to return. "Whenever I'm making a movie they go off and do whatever they want, but they're all part of this band," he said. "We just did all of our photos for the tour and stuff. It's the same band, it's just that I know those guys get itchy to play."

Support on the tour will come from NEKROMANTIX and CAPTAIN CLEGG & THE NIGHT CREATURES. The latter band appeared in Zombie's latest film, "Halloween II".

The trek will include a very special Halloween event on October 31 in Hollywood, California hosted by Uncle Seymour Coffins, also seen in "Halloween II".

The "Hellbilly Deluxe 2" tour will mark Zombie's return to the road after moderate box office success as the writer and director of "Halloween II" (Dimension). His R-rated, animated feature, "The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto", was made available everywhere on DVD and Blu-ray September 22.

Zombie will return to the stage on October 18, when he co-headlines Loud Park festival in Japan with SLAYER that will also feature PAPA ROACH.

"Halloween II", the follow-up to Zombie's successful 2007 remake of the original 1978 horror classic, came in at No. 3 in its opening weekend, earning $17 million at the box office. That's far less than the $31 million his first "Halloween" flick did two years ago.

Zombie's next film will be a remake of "The Blob", which he is slated to begin shooting in the spring of 2010.

According to Hits Daily Double, the companion web site of music industry tip sheet HITS, ALICE IN CHAINS's first all-new album in 14 years, titled "Black Gives Way To Blue", is on track to sell between 130,000 and 140,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD will likely land in the Top 5 of next week's The Billboard 200 chart, behind the latest albums from PARAMORE, MARIAH CAREY, BARBRA STREISAND and BREAKING BENJAMIN.

Following its last, self-titled record in 1995, the once-mighty Seattle-based act went into a long period of inactivity, partially due to the drug problems of singer Layne Staley. Staley died in 2002, but it was another four years until the three remaining members of the band, guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney, first regrouped for a benefit show and then officially returned with new frontman William DuVall.

Cantrell told The Pulse of Radio that with the completion of a new album — something he wasn't sure would ever happen — he thinks ALICE IN CHAINS is back to stay. "You know, the possibilities are limitless," he said. "The cool thing is, this band is alive, and we're alive. And we've had an amazing life. And we've lost some people along the way, and we've had to change, and we've had to dig within ourselves to answer some very serious questions about life. It's been a real meaningful journey, and we're really dedicated to going through the process, you know, and seeing what life has to offer."

ALICE IN CHAINS recruited pop legend Elton John to contribute piano to the CD's title track, which is written in tribute to Staley.

William DuVall had played with his own group, COMES WITH THE FALL, as well as in Jerry Cantrell's solo band, before joining up with ALICE IN CHAINS in 2006.

"Black Gives Way to Blue" was recorded with producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH) at the Northridge, California studio of FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl.

"War Is The Answer" — the sophomore album from Los Angeles metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH — sold 44,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD follows up FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's 2007 debut, "The Way Of The Fist", which has sold more than 350,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"War Is The Answer" was released in the U.S. on September 22 via Prospect Park Records. The CD was produced by the band and Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, IN THIS MOMENT), and was mixed by Randy Staub (METALLICA, MÖTLEY CRÜE, NICKELBACK). According to a press release, "the record evolves the band's already mature sound, ranging from the undeniable melodies in 'Hard to See' to the brutally nihilistic 'Burn It Down' — destined to please fans both new and old."

Guitarist Zoltan Bathory recently stated about the new CD, "In terms of the overall style, I would say that we've continued the journey we started on the first album, so there's a healthy balance of melody and aggression, and as always we concentrated on writing strong metal songs in the traditional sense. There's some epic moments on the record, and there's some straight-up home-wreckers, too. All I can say is, those who liked our first album are going to LOVE this one!"

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH kicked off "The Shock And Roar Tour" on September 22 in San Francisco. Joining them on the bill are SHADOWS FALL, OTEP and 2 CENTS.

Former QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali has announced his departure from FREAKSHOW, the new band featuring Markus Allen Christopher (guitar/vocals; M!SS CRAZY) and Jeff LaBar (guitar; CINDERELLA). He says, "Please understand that I am no longer a member of the group FREAKSHOW, and have not been since at least July of 2009, nor will I tour with the band or ever record with this entity in the future.

"It has come to my attention that both my name and image are being used and bantered around without my permission or consent as if I am continuing with the band which is misleading to the fans and anyone else.

"I am not being paid my rightful and legal share of my royalties by the band for the iTunes sales nor am I receiving any accounting which further compounds the situation.

"Let me also add that not only am I not associated with FREAKSHOW but neither is [bassist] Tony Franklin beyond the recording of the record, yet both are names continued to be misused in an attempt to sell this product as if we have further association.

"I am not a participating member of FREAKSHOW, plain and simple."

Banali spoke to Backstage Live magazine about how his involvement with FREAKSHOW came about. "My initial musical involvement was a very straightforward affair," he said. "Markus asked me when I would be available to come in and lay down drum tracks and I let him know what my available times were. Once we sorted the time frame out, he sent me, I think, three or four songs that he had as drum machine demos that were very well done. I flew up to San Jose, where Markus is based out of, and started to work. He had budgeted three days for pre-production and three tracking days. We completed the pre-production in one rehearsal, just he and I, and then I recorded the 10 tracks in two evening sessions. One was a seven-hour session including set up, miking, getting drum sounds and tracking the drums for seven of the songs. The next evening I recorded the next three songs in about two hours. There was a problem with the recording drive which wiped out the very
first song I did on day one, so early the next morning before flying back to L.A. I had to go back in to the studio, set up the drums again and re-cut the first track. The Pro Tools system can sometimes be Pro Fools! There was one additional track, the eleventh one, which was just Markus singing and playing acoustic guitar. I had him send me a MP3 of it and I took that into a studio in L.A. and added congas, shakers, tambourine and a timpani and sent the files back to him. He liked it and added it when he mixed the record."

Swedish melodic heavy metal masters LION'S SHARE have inked a Russian licensing deal with Soyuz Music for the release of their critically acclaimed "Dark Hours" album.

"Dark Hours" was released in March via Blistering Records. The follow-up to 2007's "Emotional Coma" was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (OPETH, SYMPHONY X, PARADISE LOST, AMON AMARTH) and features guest appearances by SYMPHONY X guitarist Mike Romeo (guest solo on "Behind The Curtain"), and drummers Conny Pettersson (from Earache Records death metal act ANATA) and Richard Evensand (CHIMAIRA, SOILWORK).

LION'S SHARE's video for the song "Judas Must Die" can be viewed below. The clip was shot in Stockholm, Sweden with director Josef Doukkali. LION'S SHARE previously worked with Doukkali on the clip for the track "The Edge Of The Razor", from the "Emotional Coma" album. The band's original decision to work with Doukkali was based in part on the fact that his background was not in music video but in narrative film projects, and that his more cinematic approach would give the clip a unique look and feel.

Norwegian old-school black metallers KAMPFAR have issued the following update:

"2010 will be a KAMPFAR year in the name of making music. We will use a big share of the year finishing the next album and finally enter studio! We will do a very limited amount of festival appearances, and that's it. The fist festival booked for 2010 is the mighty French Hellfest open air [in June in Clisson, France]. This will be our only show in France, and most probably the only show in western Europe 2010. Be sure to visit, as we will not save anything on these shows! Expect INFERNO!!!"

KAMPFAR released its latest album, "Heimgang" (said to be "the connection between the underworld and our own"), in September 2008 via Napalm Records.
